Envision AESC is the world's leading electric vehicle battery technology company. We are currently building our second EV battery gigafactory with a capacity of 12 GWh in Sunderland. It will be operational in 2025 and ready for you to start your career in one of the most hi-tech, green manufacturing sites in the UK. It will be powered by 100% net zero carbon energy, aligning with the company’s global commitment to sustainability. The new state of the art facility will produce enough batteries to power 100,000 electric vehicles annually. It forms a central part of Sunderland’s £1bn EV 36Zero partnership, an electric vehicle hub supporting next generation EV production and accelerating the UK’s transition to net zero carbon mobility. You will have a chance to learn from our experienced team who have built a strong track record in cutting edge manufacturing at our original gigafactory, which opened in 2012. And we have an even more exciting future to look forward toward with plans to grow from over 500 employees today, to over a 1,000 in the next couple of years.

Get paid. You will earn at least the minimum apprentice wage of £4.81 an hour (April 2022)

Great support. You will get the best of both worlds with support from your employer and college to make sure you achieve and get the best out of your apprenticeship.

Excellent prospects. Starting in the workplace means there is lots of potential for you to progress quickly, giving you a fast track route to career success.

A competitive edge. An apprenticeship will give you the edge when competing for jobs against other well-qualified candidates.

Get hired. The qualifications, skills and experience you gain will look super impressive on your CV and your apprenticeship could even turn into a full time job.

An alternative to university. Higher apprenticeships mean that you can become qualified to degree level and beyond.

Gain skills. Not only will you develop job specific skills, you will gain transferable skills, such as time management, that you can use in other industries and careers.
