This course will challenge you, take you out of your comfort zone and put you one step ahead of the rest. More importantly, it will offer you the opportunity to develop your confidence, life skills and independence; all of which will help make you a strong candidate for future employment.
You will develop the skills needed to successfully apply to the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Air Force, Police, Fire and Prison Service.
Both school leavers (aged 16-18) and adults (aged 19+) can enrol on this course.
This qualification is suitable for learners aged pre-16 and above. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. However, students may find it helpful if they've already achieved a level 1 qualification.

Students on this course will produce a portfolio of evidence which will be internally and externally assessed.
English and maths are important life skills that will help you to achieve your best in your studies and progress to your dream career. If you have not already achieved grade 9-4 in GCSE maths and/or English at school, we will support you to improve your skills.
The aim of the course is designed to provide informed and prepared potential recruits. This introductory preparation for entry into the uniformed services will gain you with valuable technical and practical skills such as navigation, develop your physical fitness, and learn the value of team working, communication, problem solving and drill.
You will study a range of core modules including preparing for a career in a chosen uniformed service, developing aspects of physical fitness for entry to the uniformed services, developing leadership skills, map reading, adventure training, exploring equality, diversity and inclusion as well as health and safety.
On completion of the level 2 diploma you will be fully prepared for the application process to join one of the uniformed services. Some students may decide to study further at level 3 or take other qualifications and a high proportion of our students successfully go on to work in their chosen career.
