Northumberland College Zoo is offering families the opportunity to get into the festive spirit with festive, fun-filled, family day outs during December.
While Santa Claus is busy in the North Pole join the elf team at Northumberland College Zoo for a tour and help to deliver some festive food presents to the zoo’s many species of animals including meerkats, lemurs, wallabies, monkeys, bush dogs, reptiles, amphibians and birds.
Then head down to a magical workshop at the woodland centre to make some Christmas crafts where children can meet Mrs Claus, listen to a story around a roaring fire and receive an animal-themed early Christmas gift to take home.
Priced at just £20 per child, each session is two-and-a-half hours long and suitable for children aged 3 and above. One adult per child will go free, with additional adult tickets costing £7.50.

As the zoo is closed for general admission during December, there will be no public access without a pre-booked ticket.
Steven Sykes, Animal Centre Resource Manager, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer a Christmas themed event again here at Kirkley Hall and are so pleased that so many have already booked. The event is going to be a very festive, joyous and magical experience.”
