Your interview will help us to get to know you better and you can get to know us too! We want you to enjoy studying with us and get the most out of your course so we need to make sure Access to HE is the right pathway for you.

The course is continual assessment so you will need to be able to complete assignments using a good standard of English.

You will be at college for approximately an hour.

It’s not a formal interview so you can wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Check your interview letter for any specific requirements. You will usually need to bring ID and your qualification certificates.

Yes, however, Access to HE interviews usually take place during school time to fit around family commitments.

You will attend a 20-minute group presentation session and then a one-to-one interview with one of our friendly course tutors, which will last for approximately 10 minutes. You will also need to complete an English assessment.

You will receive a letter or email with confirmation of an offer. We will keep in touch with you to let you know about any events or activities that will help to
prepare you for your studies. You will also be invited to enrol over the summer. If we don’t think Access to HE is right for you, we will discuss alternative study options with you.

You will be asked questions about your motivations, personal qualities, education experience, aspirations for the future and why you want to study Access to HE. It’s your chance to shine and demonstrate your commitment and enthusiasm.
