Residential accommodation in a unique and beautiful rural setting.
Living in our student accommodation is a fantastic way to meet new people and experience everything College has to offer, providing an opportunity to live in a unique rural setting with an abundance of outdoor space and beauty.
Kirkley Hall Campus is set in a remote location three miles from the village of Ponteland in Northumberland.
All of our accommodation is self-catered, with fully equipped kitchens. Each room is single occupancy with WiFi access.
Managed by a dedicated team, who maintain our facilities and ensure student safety at all times, we offer a holistic package of support which gives parents and young people the reassurance that students are well cared for.
If you are interested in living in our on-site accommodation, please complete the form below or email accommodation@northumberland.ac.uk.
Once your details have been received by the Residential Team, you will be sent an application pack to complete and return. You will then be invited to attend an interview, this will be at the end of June, into the first week in July.
In July 2022, we will be contacting applicants to inform them if they have been successful at interview. You will then be invited to pay a £250 deposit to secure a room. The deposit is then used as your bond which is returnable at the end of academic year should there be no damage to the room or facilities in your house.
Financial support towards accommodation rent is available for students who meet the criteria, criteria varies dependent on the bursary fund to which you apply. Information for the accommodation bursaries is available via the Welfare Team.
During enrolment you will be emailed a residential contract and associated paperwork. The information supplied will contain everything you need to know in order to move into your room in September.
"I love living on campus, it has really helped me become the person I am today. I used to really struggle making friends and socialising back when I was in school but I've made so many friends for life within halls and will continue to make more next year. The activities on campus are fun and bring us all together.
"I've improved on my cooking skills when living independently along with cleaning and on an evening, I usually relax for an hour listening to music then go to join my friends to socialise. I often go for a walk around the amazing grounds at Kirkley Hall, listening to music, getting some fresh air and simply look at the countryside."
